Aint No Sunshine

I awoke this morning and like always, it was before sunrise. I waited in anticipation for the sun to rise and shine, but the sun did not shine through the heavy, dense clouds.

I have taken the day off to sit in a corner and lick my wounds, like a feline who has been through a grueling cat fight.

I need time to heal. i need time to cry. I need time for quiet reflection.

I am torn. Torn between wonder of how much we, Americans, have progressed since the "civil rights movement" and the disappointment of losing what I considered to be the most important election in my lifetime.

Obama has been compared to JFK and that is one of my biggest concerns. JFK was such a young man, with little experience, we lived through very trying times. During JFK's term, the Berlin wall was built. Let us not forget the debacle of "the bay of pigs:. And yes, the Cuban missile crisis.

Ain't no sunshine, either figuratively or literaly. At least not today.

But in the words of Scarlet, tomorrow is another day.

Say Goodbye to Jobs in the Coal Industry

Major Coal-Producing States(in rank order as of 12/31/2000)

Pennsylvania
Texas

North Dakota
Colorado

obama has said he will bankrupt the coal industry. Jobs will disappear from the states listed above. But more than this, he will drive up the price of energy so high, you will think you are living in Bagdad, cause you can only afford elctricity a few hours each day.

Just remember, crap rolls downhill. Charge big bucks to the coal industry and who pays in the end? The one who can least afford it. Middle and low income.

There are many coal fired power plants in existence now. Sure we want to clean up our environment. But making middle and low income people pay for what they cannot afford is cruel.

Putting hard working Americans out of work is cruel.

Berg v Obama update - rally at the Supreme Court Today

Press Release 10 30 2008 - Berg Filing Injunction to Stay Presidential Election

Obama Crimes released the following statement

Philip J. Berg Will Be Arriving U.S. Supreme Court, Washington, DC at 3:15 p.m. today to file for an Injunction to Stay Presidential Election Pending Writ of Certiorari regarding Obama who is “NOT” qualified to be President of the United States
(Press Release - 10/30/08 - Contact information and pdf of press release at bottom)

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/30/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that he will be at the United States Supreme Court today, October 30, 2008 to file:

1. Application to Justice Souter for an Immediate Injunction to Stay the Presidential Election of November 4, 2008; and

2. Writ of Certiorari.

Berg stated, “I am hopeful that the U.S. Supreme Court will grant the Injunction pending a review of this case to avoid a Constitutional Crisis by insisting that Obama produce certified documentation that he is or is not a “natural born” citizen and if he cannot produce documentation that Obama be removed from the ballot for President.

Berg’s case, Berg vs. Obama was dismissed from the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Docket # 08-cv-4083 for lack of standing. This is a question of who has standing to uphold our Constitution. If I don’t have standing, if you don’t have standing, if your neighbor doesn’t have standing to question the eligibility of an individual to be President of the United States - the Commander-in-Chief, the most powerful person in the world - then who does?

What happened to ‘…Government of the people, by the people, for the people,…’ Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address 1863.

We must legally prevent Obama, the unqualified candidate, from taking the Office of the Presidency of the United States,” Berg said.

Our website obamacrimes.com now has 86.1 + million hits.

Berg again stressed his position regarding the urgency of this case as, “we” the people, are heading to a “Constitutional Crisis” if this case is not resolved forthwith.

Let's Talk "Joe the Plumber"

Biden says he doesn't know any plumbers in his neighborhood making $250,000.00 a year.  Course I don't know exactly what income bracket lives in Biden's neighborhood.  So that statement is fair.  Although, Biden's income was $248,459 in 2006, slightly below Joe the plumber but closer than my income.

Now, there are no plumbers living in my neighborhood who make that kind of money.  I live in a very modest neighborhood, incomes under $50,000 a  year.

But, I do know plumbers who do make that amount of money.  /they don't live in my neighborhood because they can afford to live in a larger home.  These plumbers, male and female, own their business and have several locations in the Central Florida area.  They have about 95 employees.  Multiply 95 plumbers times the typical hourly charge per day, double time after hours, weekends and Holidays.  Adds up to a pretty penny or should I say quarter million (that's a low ball estimate).

THINK!

Two Johns: John McCain & John Revels

The two men I admire most are named John. John McCain, the man running to be the leader of the free world and John Revels, my grandfather. Both men believe in God, Country and family, but not necessarily in that order.

They also believe that your word is your name and that is all you got in this world. Give your word and there are no excuses for not keeping it, maybe death or not.

Back bout 1906, my grand-pappy went into town to buy some cotton seed for planting, and on the way he run into Robert the banker man. Grand pappy told ole Robert he was on his way to pick up seed but needed to stop by the bank to sign for a loan to tide him over until harvest. Robert looked at grand-pappy and said "John, you don't need to sign no papers, your hand shake is good enough for me". My grand-pappy did have a rep for keeping his word. He passed that down to my mother and she passed it on to me.

I see John McCain the same way. Word given, word kept.

John McCain worked with Senator Feinstein on campaign finance reform to help change election exclusion of the people. Senator McCain bucked his on "money party" to get this important legislation through the House & Senate. When the general election began he opted to take public funds and limit his contributions while obama (who previously said he would take public funds) opted out.

I have not yet found the answer as to exactly where obama's money is coming from. If I go online to contribute to a campaign, I must give my name and other pertinent information which will allow my credit card to be charged or ATM card or my bank account and routing numbers. I have on several occasions contributed so, I know for sure, I have got to give this information. When I go to the FEC website to look-up the contributors for obama, page after page after page is filled with no information about the contributors, just "information requested".

Still Saying No Deal

Hillary Clinton Supporters Have Come Home - AP

We don't think so!

We never thought we'd be here, but we are.
On June 8, a group of Hillary's most ardent supporters formed a coalition called Just Say No Deal. What followed was a viral explosion which grew organically and virtually. Average citizens put their families, jobs, reputations and even, in some cases, their lives and safety on the line, to stand up and speak out in the media against the corruption of the DNC and the thuggery of the Obama Campaign.

Just Say No Deal is made up of moms, soldiers, doctors, nurses, waitresses, landscapers, bankers, delegates, election judges, precinct chairs, professors... and yes, even plumbers.

No matter who you are or where you stand TODAY, the injustices that brought us together this year were REAL.
That said, you may have moved on and we respect that decision. We truly do.

Give Me a Break

What is all the crap about Sarah's wardrobe? Can you imagine what they would be saying if she came out dressed like me? Well the criticism would never end.

STOP THE SEXISM AND MISOGYNY!

Let's go back to joe biden's comments that if obama is put into office, joe would guarantee that an international crisis would occur.

“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America.” he told a fundraising crowd in the Pacific Northwest on Sunday. “Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“He’s gonna have to make some really tough - I don’t know what the decision’s gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen."

I am old enough to remember the "Cuban missile crisis", I live in Florida and lived in Florida then as well. We lived about a block away from the railroad tracks and watched the military men and their equipment being shipped south, before any of this hit the nightly news. JFK was an inexperienced young man and the USSR tested him big time, scary for us citizens.

What decision, joe, will we citizens will not like that obama is planning against us? "it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

joe said "gird your loins" which is elite speak for cover your family jewels.

Biden Guarantees the USA Will be Attacked if obama is Elected

I love Joe Biden. Pure and simple. Good ole Joe, know a couple fellas just like him, you probably know some too. These guys open mouth.. insert foot, open wider and inset the other foot. God love em.

Hey wasn't it Joe that accused obama of being articulate? What a racist remark.

ABC News' Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
"Gird your loins," Biden told the crowd.
"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities.

So Joe is warning us that if obama is elected, we are going into crisis from one direction or another.

Well, Joe, thanks for the warning. Hadn't planned on voting for obama, but i will tell all my friends. A vote for obama is a vote for disaster to strike.

The Statesman: John McCain

When you love your country and put it first, like John McCain you are a statesman.  When you want to continue campaigning when your country in in crisis, you are a politician, like obama.

"It is time for both parties to come together to solve this problem. We must meet as Americans, not as Democrats or Republicans, and we must meet until this crisis is resolved. I am directing my campaign to work with the Obama campaign and the commission on presidential debates to delay Friday night's debates until we have taken action to address this crisis."

"I am calling on the President to convene a meeting with the leadership from both houses of Congress, including Senator Obama and myself. It is time for both parties to come together to solve this problem"  said the statesman , John mcCain.

obama on the other hand stated he didn't care, he was not going to suspend his campaign.  he was more interested in gaining the power of the presidency than making sure the country and the little people got a fair deal.

Who is the true patriot?

Is Feminism For Women's Rights or Just Abortion Rights?

I had always described myself a a feminist.  A feminist to me was some one who believed in equal pay for equal work, equal opportunity in jobs and in schools.  I also subscribed to the pro choice decision in Roe versus Wade.

I no longer attach myself to the tittle of feminist.  It no longer has the same meaning.  Kim Gandy and the organization NOW has endorsed obama, because he is the "pro choice candidate.  They no longer work toward equal pay and opportunity for women, they are only concerned about abortion.

Just as the democrats have failed me, NOW has also taken a turn in another direction which does not include all we have fought to obtain.

They will not back Sarah Palin because she chose for herself and child, life.  This her belief and her choice.  Joe biden also believes life begins at conception and abortion is morally wrong, but they do not hound him.

The democratic party and NOW used to believe in "choice but do not believe Sarah Palin has a choice.

Women, like men, come in all colors and stripes, all sizes and shapes and all are uniquely different.  Some believe that life begins are birth, when the breath of life enters the lungs, some at conception.  But we are all women.

Senator John McCain makes an example of equal pay for equal work by practicing that in his Senate office and his campaign.  Does BO?

Actions, my friend, actions, speak louder than any words spoken.  Remember bull-crap walks.

obama: He’s no great equalizer

"Now is the time to keep the promise of equal pay for an equal day’s work,” Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama said Aug. 28 in his convention acceptance speech. He told the crowd in Denver: “I want my daughters to have exactly the same opportunities as your sons.”

Obama’s campaign Web site is even more specific. Under the heading “Fighting for Pay Equity,” the women’s issues page laments that, “Despite decades of progress, women still make only 77 cents for every dollar a man makes. A recent study estimates it will take another 47 years for women to close the wage gap with men at Fortune 500 corporate offices. Barack Obama believes the government needs to take steps to better enforce the Equal Pay Act.”

Obama’s commitment to federally mandated pay equity stretches from the Rockies to Wall Street and beyond. And yet it seems to have eluded his U.S. Senate office. Compensation figures for his legislative staff reveal that the Illinois senator pays women just 83 cents for every dollar his men make.

Obama’s 28 male staffers divided among themselves total payroll expenditures of $1,523,120. Thus, Obama’s average male employee earned $54,397.

Obama’s 30 female employees split $1,354,580 among themselves, or $45,152, on average.

Why this disparity? One reason may be the under-representation of women in Obama’s highest-compensated ranks. Among Obama’s five best-paid advisers, only one was a woman. Among his top 20, seven were women.

Again, on average, Obama’s female staffers earn just 83 cents for every dollar his male staffers make. This figure certainly exceeds the 77-cent threshold that Obama’s campaign Web site condemns. However, 83 cents do not equal $1. In spite of this 17-cent gap between Obama’s rhetoric and reality, he chose to chide GOP presidential contender John McCain on this issue.

McCain’s payment patterns are the stuff of feminist dreams.

McCain’s 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936. His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878.

On average, according to these data, women in McCain’s office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes. In fact, all other things being equal, a typical female staffer could earn 21 cents more per dollar paid to her male counterpart - while adding $10,726 to her annual income - by leaving Obama’s office and going to work for McCain.

McCain is more than fair with his female employees, while Obama - at the expense of the women who work for him - quietly perpetuates the very same pay-equity divide that he loudly denounces.

If you are a woman and believe in equal rights for all, not just men, John McCain and Sarah Palin is the team you should vote for.

BO says he is for equal pay for women but his actions do not reflect his words.  You simply cannot trust this man.  He says one thing but does another.  It is the old "bait and switch" deal.  Don't fall for those old tricks.

BO is "for" abortion, not equality.

Just say no deal!

Bucket of Fluff?

Joe biden's colors finally show through.  He said "You are good! My Lord!"  after barbara theaker, a supporter, introduced him at a rally.  she said "Barack Obama has made an intelligent choice for the vice-presidency.  "So very different this is from that bucket of fluff that the Republican candidate has chosen for the same position."

It hard for me some times to believe that "women" are so willing to batter other women or to encourage the battering, or to stand by silent while this abuse takes place.  Thus the "battered woman's syndrome " is passed from generation to generation, without the breaking of the cycle of violence against women.  It begins with belittling a woman's worth, verbal abuse, then escalates to physical abuse.  Women should stop abusing or encouraging others to abuse their own.

And besides that, I would not call a moose hunter a bucket of fluff.  Sarah Palin is a tough, intelligent woman.

Fact Check

obama says this was an innocent comment, "lipstick on a pig", but he did not address  the balance which was "fishy smell".

You would have to be from out of space not to know that "fishy smell" comment is used quite often by the male gender referring to a woman's vagina.

I might have given him as pass on the first part, but when he made the second part of the statement, honey, that ain't no innocent comment.  BO, you got a wife and two daughters and you know about that "fishy smell", and stop lying about it.

Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain Beat Democratic Rival Barack Obama

Republican presidential candidate John McCain beat Democratic rival Barack Obama in the crucial battle to attract U.S. television viewers during their race to the White House, according to figures released on Friday.

Nielsen Media Research said a record 38.9 million TV viewers watched McCain accept the Republican nomination on Thursday, slightly more than the 38.3 million people who tuned in for Obama's speech last week.

McCain's tally was believed to be the biggest commercial TV audience every for a single night of a U.S. political convention, Nielsen said.

When I logged on Friday morning to check out the comments on John McCains acceptance speech, i was floored.  The comments could not have been more negative if he had spoken an unknown language foreign to earth.
I disagree, I watched and enjoyed.  I saw a man with great dignity and honor.  Listened to a man speak from his heart.

"I'm not in the habit of breaking promises to my country and neither is Gov. Palin. And when we tell you we're going to change Washington, and stop leaving our country's problems for some unluckier generation to fix, you can count on it. We've got a record of doing just that, and the strength, experience, judgment and backbone to keep our word to you.

"I fight to restore the pride and principles of our party. We were elected to change Washington, and we let Washington change us. We lost the trust of the American people when some Republicans gave in to the temptations of corruption. We lost their trust when rather than reform government, both parties made it bigger. We lost their trust when instead of freeing ourselves from a dangerous dependence on foreign oil, both parties and Sen. Obama passed another corporate welfare bill for oil companies. We lost their trust, when we valued our power over our principles.

"We're going to change that. We're going to recover the people's trust by standing up again for the values Americans admire. The party of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Reagan is going to get back to basics.

I'm running for president to keep the country I love safe, and prevent other families from risking their loved ones in war as my family has. I will draw on all my experience with the world and its leaders, and all the tools at our disposal — diplomatic, economic, military and the power of our ideals — to build the foundations for a stable and enduring peace.

In America, we change things that need to be changed. Each generation makes its contribution to our greatness. The work that is ours to do is plainly before us. We don't need to search for it.

I'm going to fight for my cause every day as your president. I'm going to fight to make sure every American has every reason to thank God, as I thank him: that I'm an American, a proud citizen of the greatest country on Earth, and with hard work, strong faith and a little courage, great things are always within our reach. Fight with me. Fight with me.

Fight for what's right for our country.

Fight for the ideals and character of a free people.

Fight for our children's future.

Fight for justice and opportunity for all.

Stand up to defend our country from its enemies.

Stand up for each other; for beautiful, blessed, bountiful America.

Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. Nothing is inevitable here. We're Americans, and we never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.

Thank you, and God bless you."

If that speech was boring, then please give me boring every single day. I found it patriotic.

But I, like McCain, hear a different drummer. I like McCain love my country.

Country before party.

Obama's Starving Brother

George Hussein Onyango Obama, Senator Barack Obama's long lost brother was tracked down living in a hut on the outskirts of Nairobi. "No-one knows who I am," he told the magazine, before claiming: "I live here on less than a dollar a month."
George said : "I have had to learn to live and take what I need.
"Huruma is a tough place, last January during the elections there was rioting and six people were hacked to death. The police don't even arrest you they just shoot you.

"I have seen two of my friends killed. I have scars from defending myself with my fists. I am good with my fists."
If some one does not care about their own brother, will he care about your brother, sister, son, daughter, mother, father serving in our great military service?
BO purchased a house in Chicago for $1.65 million dollars and he could not reach out to give him own brother a few bucks to buy food.
George went on to tell how BO contacted him in 2006 and it was like meeting a stranger.
Why does BO not reach out to help his starving brother? Is it because he is so bitter about his father deserting him? Bo has often used the phase "be thy brother's keeper" but does he help his brother? No. You can't just talk the talk, you have to walk the walk.
BO gives great speeches. That is it. No more. Just a speech.
We need people in the Whitehouse that do more than speak well.
My mother told me, to watch what people do because the lips can lie but actions speak volumes.

Sarah Palin Accepts the Nomination

What the difference between a hockey mom and a bulldog? Lipstick

She wowed the crowed, she elbowed the elitist egotistical BO right in his gut.   "This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan?"

She impressed me, which is real hard to do.
She rocked 'em and socked 'em.
“Here’s a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion; I’m going to Washington to serve the people of this country.”

The real problem is the sexism and misogyny which abounds in our society.  When it was announced that Governor Palin's daughter is pregnant, the remarks I read and heard drive me stark raving mad.

"They" always state that "the girl" made a mistake.  No one ever mentions that it takes 2 to make a baby (these idiots need sex education).  I guess the boy, Levi, did not make a mistake.  He did what males are supposed to do?  The females have always born the brunt of criticism if pregnancy is the result of intercourse.  No one ever mentions, chez, the sperm came from the male.

If BO were referred to with "n" word there would be riots in the streets.  In fact when Joe Biden said he was "articulate", he was condemned as a racist.  Now he is BO' running mate.

In our sick society we are fast becoming "color blind", which in my mind is a very good thing, but the sexism and misogyny is encouraged.  Can't call BO the "n" word or say he is well spoken , but it is perfectly acceptable to refer to women as bitches, whores and yes even the "c" word.

OFF LIMITS: Bristol Palin

This will be cross posted on Political junkee

Bristol Palin is the daughter of Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin and Todd. The VP nominee has issued a statement regarding her daughter's pregnancy.

Sarah has stated that this is a private matter.

Please respect her wishes.

Just Thinking Out Loud

Let me just put this out there.

I was wondering how far back Donna Brazille has been planning the BO campaign.

Could this really go back more than 8 years?

Wasn't she the campaign manager for Al Gore in 2000?

What a lousy campaign, and of course we know who has been the prez for the last 8 years.

Donna is either a brilliant strategist or she screwed up big time on Al's campaign.

Could she and Rove have been in cahoots for 8 years? Washington is a small place and it would not be unusual for the two to have known each other.

Think about it, put numb nuts bush into the Whitehouse for 8 years and people would be hungry for change, any change. And along comes BO.

Do you believe Donna Brazille is brilliant or incompetent?

My opinion is, from all I have seen, she is not incompetent.

Correction:

Donna and Rove did know each other before the 2000 election.

Brazile speaks to the National Press Club on May 2, 2001 about Election Reform, Every Vote Counts (excerpts)

"Karl and I met over a year ago at a small restaurant in Manchester, New Hampshire. Like most political operatives who meet for the first time, we made a bet on the outcome of the 2000 presidential election."

Her website http://www.donnabrazile.com/viewBlog.cfm?id=9 confirms that.

Sexism Begins Again

Yes sir, you thought this might be the end of the ole misogyny and sexism in the media. Maybe they heard the voices of concerned women. No, No ,NO.

The ink wasn't dry on the contract between John McCain and Sarah Palin when here the pigs come out of the woodwork just like a swarm of termites. I was listening to Lou Dobbs radio show yesterday and most of the callers referred to the fact that
Sarah is the mother of five children, the youngest was diagnosed with Down syndrome, how could she care for the youngest and be Vice President.

IF SHE WAS A MAN THAT STUPID QUESTION WOULD NEVER NEVER BE ASKED.

If she was a man, the automatic assumption would be that the spouse would handle the children. But we forget that apparently the males of the species ain't got the brains to change a diaper or feed a baby, is that it? Well, I disagree, males ain't that stupid. In fact I have actually witnessed males care giving with children and they did a pretty good job.

I, personally, think Todd Palin will make a great Second Lady Man. He cleans up real well and ain't bad looking, well actually, he is more like "eye candy".

Oh, let us not forget, foreign policy experience. Why are they comparing her experience to Joe Biden? The top of the Dem ticket, remember that is BO, has NO FOREIGN POLICY EXPERIENCE.

Sarah Palin has more executive expedience than BO and biden put together.

Time For Serious Conversation

What's that old joke? Now that we have established what you are, now we can negotiate the price.

All kidding aside, now that we have established what the Democratic party is, undemocratic, equality for all (if you are male), it is time to have serious conversation about one of the most important elections in my lifetime.

After 8 years of the W administration, we have a lot of work to do. W and cheney have amassed an unprecedented amount of power in the Executive branch of the government, not a good thing.

The exec branch has the right to listen to phone calls of the citizens without a warrant, with the Patriot Act, there is a clause known as the "sneak & peak, which allows government agents to enter without a warrant your home, business, or other property, look around and then obtain a warrant on what they saw. Let us not forget that the exec branch has the right to pickup any citizen as an enemy combatant and hold them without benefit of a lawyer, a phone call to their families, or even know why they are being detained. Have any abuses taken place so far? Unknown, don't know if we will ever get a real answer.

That my friend is a shit load of power, it is the power of a king or dictator. No checks no balance. No democracy.

THINK
Do you want to entrust this much power into the hands of BO? Do you trust him? Can you trust him? If he is willing to disenfranchise millions of voters in Florida and Michigan and cheat in the caucuses, to steal the primary, is he what you want for President?
Don't forget he sat 20 years in the pews at Reverend Wright's church, listening to the good rev rant and rail about "god damn America".

He is willing to say anything to get elected, but look into his eyes, there is no one home.

Bo "preaches", be your brother's keeper, but his half brother, George lives in ramshackle hut and is hungry most of the time and he does not have the decency to reach out to help him. Ask yourself, will he take care of our young men and women in the military if he won't help his own blood?

Bo is a snake oil salesman. He promises cures for all your ills but has no concrete plans to do so. Snake oil, my friends, snake oil.
The Dems will win a majority in the House and Senate, this election. Is it a good idea to have one party rule both the Executive branch and Legislative branch. Remember what happened with Republican dominance of both?

The Death of Democracy

The convention in Denver was a sham, but I knew it would be.  Conventions are no longer about democracy and picking the best candidate, they are about putting on a show.  Everything is stage managed.  No real discussion on important issues.

On June 1st, after the idiotic decision of the RBC of the DNC, I declared independence from the sham party.  I told the DNC to shove it where the sun don't shine.

I listened to Johnny Paycheck and changed his lyrics to fit the occasion.

Take this party and shove it

I ain’t voting there no more

My woman done left

And took all the reason I was working for

You better not try stand in my way

as I am walking out the door

Take this party and shove it

I been voting in this party

Ni on 40 years

All this time I watched my woman

Drowning in a pool of tears

I seen lot of good folks die

Had a lot of bills to pay

I’ll give the shirt offin my back

‘cause I got the guts to say

Take this party and shove it

Because She Is A Woman

That is why Hillary is held to a different standard.  Women have always been held to a different standard.  They have had to work 4 times harder than a man and the man ends up with all the credit.

When Ted Kennedy ran against Jimmy Carter, he did not end his campaign until the convention began.

The Democratic convention has always had a full roll call vote.  So why not this time?  Oh yeah, Hillary is a woman and that 's OK to dis her, right?

I started this post at 5:30AM this morning but was unable to finish as time, as often happens, ran out and had to get off to work.

Well, it is over.  Hillary was forced to concede.  She is  a woman, what else could she do?

I remain firm in my conviction, no BO.

It isn't Hillary's Place.

It isn't up to Hillary Clinton to "deliver" the 18 million votes to BO.
Please inform those "talking heads" they "we" have been emancipated for many years now.  WE  are not bubble heads.  WE have minds of our own.  We are intelligent, hard working men and women who voted for what we believed would be best for our country and we will continue.

The talking heads should be asking why BO is not reaching out to those 18 million voters.  They should be asking why he cannot appeal to working class men and women.

Let me explain one more time for those idiots out here who do not understand plain English.

My issue with BO began when he did not stand for votes being counted in the state of Florida.  He also block any hope we had of getting a re-vote.  Then he had the audacity to make sick jokes about counting those votes.

Mess with my vote you get on the fighting side of me.

As for mrs BO, I saw her in an interview.  When asked if she would campaign for Hillary if she was the nominee,  mrs BO just sat there looking like a bump on a log.  Too idiotic of a look to describe here.  Real Democrat?  Hell fire no that bitch is not.

Many times I have been asked if Hillary was picked as VP, would I consider voting Democratic in November,  my answer is Hell NO.

100 Years, Will History Repeat?

From July 7 -10, 1908, the Democratic National Convention took place in Denver.
Women were pushing for the right to vote nationally.

Once again the Dems reject women and their issues.

That year, the delegates nominated William Jennings Bryan for their Presidential candidate and John Kern for Vice President.

The theme of the convention's platform was "Shall the people rule?”

From the platform--- The conscience of the nation is now aroused to free the government from the grip of those who have made it a business asset of the favor-seeking corporations. It must become again a people's government and be administered in all its departments according to the Jeffersonian maxim, "equal rights to all; special privilege to none.
"Shall the people rule? is the overshadowing issue which manifests itself in all the questions now under discussion."

TS Fay: Day 4

Fay is like those guests who comes to visit and NEVER LEAVES.  In Florida, we are used to those visitors.

Yesterday was the worst for my neighborhood.  Rain was measured in feet not inches.  The wind was gusting and the trees were swaying.

My trip to work yesterday was uneventful, some rain, little wind but no delays.  However, the ride home was, let's say interesting.  Steady rain with windshield wipers on high.  Two hands on the steering wheel as the winds were gusting and both hands were need to keep the truck steady on the road.

I noticed the drainage ditches along I-4 between Winter Park and Maitland were overflowing.  Not a good sign  The drainage ditches on either side of the back roads I travel home were overflowing as well.  The closer I got to home the higher I climbed and less standing water.  I am lucky, very lucky.  I still worry about my oak trees, much more rain might soften the ground.

The weather reports Fay is moving west, finally, at about six miles per hour.  Glad it is moving out of my area but feel bad for these who are in the path.

All schools are closed in Seminole and Orange counties.  That will make my ride to work a little easier.  But that means the girls with small children will bring them into the office.

My mind just can't wrap around the election today.  Too many other things to think abut.

Democrats vs. Obama

Fay Just Hanging Around

I thought yesterday the T S Fay would keep on moving out of my area, but Fay does not want to leave.  It just sits and spins, driving wind and rain on shore.  I have been extremely lucky, I live in a little pocket which shields my house from most major winds.  The rain has not been heavy, but steady, which is my real worry.  I have very large oak trees in my yard and when the ground becomes saturated, it may not hold the roots in place.

The day after Faye

The sun is coming up and from my vantage point , looking out my front door, not much happened at my house over night.  No tree limbs down.  Power is on.  Looks like the worse is all the oak leaves I'll have to pick up.

Seminole County schools will be closed today.  Flood watch warning still on as well.

Well, I gotta go to work.

Riding out tropical storm Faye

I live in a small town just outside Orlando and am currently waiting to see what this tropical storm, Faye, will do.
From all I have heard, it won't be much more than a nasty summer storm. It will last a little longer but the wind gusts will not be any stronger. At least, let us hope it is not.
Having survived a few hurricanes, many summer storms and a few nor'easters, I think we will come out just fine.
Got some canned goods, filled all my plastic containers with water and put in the freezer. Got gas for my mini grill. Charged my battery pack. Still gotta grind some coffee beans just in case the power goes out. Need to find those darn candles, if I can remember where I put them and matches, hmmm, where are they?
The weather report says it will be east of I4, like they all do, at least so far. That's good for me, I live to the west, so looks like I'll dodge the bullet again. But still have to be vigilant, tornadoes do spin off and have their own mind. Funny, just got warning, tornado watch until 1 AM.

Latest Rasmussen Poll has McCain up by 2 points over BO in Florida. Kentucky poll is showing an 18 point lead for McCain.
I am curious however, why is BO up 4 points in Michigan? Is any one out there from Michigan? If so, can you answer the question?
The LA Times/Bloomberg poll show 80% think John McCain is qualified to be President compared to only 44% for BO.

The 3 a.m. Phone Call is Real

On Aug. 8, the White House phone did ring, alerting President Bush that Russia had just sent columns of tanks and armored personnel carriers across the internationally recognized border of Georgia (formerly the Soviet Socialist Republic of Georgia), a tiny, democratic, America-friendly, Western-leaning country.

John McCain condemned Russia and urged her to "immediately and unconditionally cease ... military operations and withdraw all forces from sovereign Georgian territory ... The consequences of Euro-Atlantic stability and security are grave." McCain urged the U.N. Security Council to meet on the matter, but strengthened the point by adding that the "US should immediately work with the E.U. and the OSCE to put diplomatic pressure on Russia to reverse this perilous course that it has chosen," and, "We should immediately call a meeting of the North Atlantic Council to assess Georgia's security and review measures NATO can take to contribute to stabilizing this very dangerous situation." Later, McCain also urged that the U.S. convene "an emergency meeting of the G-7 foreign ministers" and offered the view that Russia was seeking more than the independence of South Ossetia, but was instead looking to overthrow the democratically elected government of Mikheil Saakashvili. His use of the term G-7 was significant, since it presaged his later call to throw Russia out of the group that has become the G-8. Noting that Georgia is home to the only oil pipeline that feeds Caspian oil to the west outside of Russian territory or control, he warned, "We must remind Russia's leaders that the benefits they enjoy from being part of the civilized world require their respect for the values, stability and peace of that world."

Now that is what you expect a "leader" to do.

But where was BO?  Absent?  Yep, for several days.  When a crisis happens a leader needs to take immediate action.  Not like W who went to play the guitar with some celebrity while citizens in New Orleans drowned, died of starvation.

WE cannot afford "on the job training" for our leader.

Confession

Okay! okay! I admit it. I was not courteous, in fact I reckon you would say I was downright mean. But I am still angry, I did not know just exactly how angry until this evening.

As soon as I walked inside my house my cell phone started to ring. A young man asked if I was "Saren", I said yes? He said he was, sorry, I recall his name now, but he said he was calling from the Seminole Democrats. Well, about then my temperature began to rise, my hair stood up on top my head, lord I knew I was pissed.

I quickly informed him that I was no longer a Democrat. He says he has a list. I tell him that when the DNC decided to take away my vote, I decided to tell them "fuck you" and I hung up.

I ain't a gonna apologize for what I said. I mean what I say and say what I mean. Although I usually am not mean about saying it. But what is done is done.

Now, just heard that Senator Hillary Clinton will have have her name put into the nomination process at the convention in Denver. Well, have to think about that. hmmmmm

Is there a chance that there is enough buyers remorse about BO to change the outcome? Yes, there is. But the problem is that stupid process. Florida's pledged delegates must vote for the candidate that they were elected to vote for for the first and second ballot, by the rules, then they are released to vote their choice. Don't know how it works in other states, each state party has their own rules.

Now, if you notice the quote at the bottom of most my posts, you will see that Hillary stood up for my vote. What did BO do for my vote? He made sick jokes about the votes being counted.

I don't think that they are going to throw BO out and put Hillary in as the nominee. Just been around too long and seen too much, the girl gets the shaft too often. But if they do, I'll vote for her. But I ain't a gonna vote for BO or no other democrat.

Well done said my piece so reckon I'll sign off now.

Now We Return To Donna

HELP DONNA BRAZILLE KEEP HER PROMISE TO QUIT THE DNC
Posted by geeklove08 on August 7, 2008

The steps outlined in the video to pressure Donna Brazile to keep her promise are:

1) Write a certified & return receipt requested letter to the DNC demanding a meeting of the Rules andBylaws Committee (RBC) to strip Donna Brazile of her superdelegate status.

2) Have the letter notarized.

3) Mail to this address:

Democratic Nat’l CommitteeCredentials Committee
Attn: Alexis Herman
430 S. Capitol St. SE2nd FloorWashington, DC 20003

Paul also said that the DNC has received about 74 of these letters. Let’s make sure that they get more!

It is time to take our democracy back.

TELL OBAMA & THE DNC IT'S TOO LATE

(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama said Sunday that delegates from Florida and Michigan should get a "full vote" at the Democratic convention this month.

"I believe party unity calls for the delegates from Florida and Michigan to be able to participate fully alongside the delegates from the other states and territories," he said in a letter to the co-chairs of the Democratic National Convention's Credentials Committee.

TOO LATE BO, MUCH TOO LATE.

Obama asked the committee to pass a resolution when it meets on August 24 to give each delegate a full vote.

TOO LATE BO, MUCH TOO LATE.

Florida and Michigan were stripped of their delegates as a penalty for holding their primaries too early. During the primary season, there were growing calls to seat the delegations as Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton were locked in a tight race for their party's nomination. Obama and Clinton were about 100 delegates apart in March, and Florida and Michigan's cache of 366 delegates had the potential to shake up the race.

The battle over the states' delegates became a key issue on the campaign trail. Clinton had long advocated seating both states' delegations. She won both primaries, but the Democratic candidates had agreed to not campaign in the two states and she was the only top-tier candidate on the ballot in Michigan.

Clinton's message that "every vote should count" became a key theme in her stump speeches. She accused Obama of being "un-American" for not backing plans to hold a revote in the two states.

The Illinois senator denied claims he was standing in the way of revotes.

LIAR...LIAR...LIAR...LIAR

"I want the Michigan delegation and the Florida delegation to be seated. And however the Democratic National Committee determines we can get that done, I'm happy to abide by those rules," he told CNN in March.

LIAR...LIAR...LIAR

After months of wrangling over what to do, the DNC's rules and bylaws committee voted in late May to reinstate all of Florida and Michigan's delegates, with each getting a half-vote.

In his letter Sunday, Obama said all the delegates should be seated with a full vote for the sake of party unity.
IT'S TOO LATE!

"As a candidate for the nomination, I supported the DNC's efforts to establish and enforce a schedule for primaries and caucuses that would broaden the opportunity for Democrats from all regions of the country and all backgrounds and walks of life to have a meaningful voice," he wrote.

"As we prepare to come together in Denver, however, we must be -- and will be -- united in our determination to change the course of our nation. To that end, Democrats in Florida and Michigan must know that they are full partners and colleagues in our historic mission to reshape Washington and lead our country in a new direction."

Does Obama Have Multiple Personality Disorder?

I got whiplash from him saying so many opposing things.
Then I got pissed because he, the news media, and other unnamed politicians are lying tails off. I want to know why these idiots are telling me it will take ten years to get results from drilling offshore? I refer you to a site Poliitical Junkee, article "Offshore Drilling Part 2"

http://politicaljunkee.blogspot.com/2008/07/offshore-drilling-part-2.html#links

On September 5, 2006, Chevron and its partners,Devon and Statoil, announced the discovery of a hugereserve of oil and natural gas in the Gulf of Mexico inthe Walker Ridge Area which is about 270 milessouthwest of New Orleans and 175 miles off the coastof Louisiana. Production would probably not start until 2010 at the earliest with full production notuntil 2013 at the earliest.

Most of the research has already taken place, and 2013 is 5 years not 10. Some one needs to give boy a lesson in arithmatic and geography.

DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID

We all know, or ex-dems know that Bo is an arrogant, self-righteous sob. But dig this boys and girls, BO got caught on an open mike with Tory Leader David Cameron.

CAMERON: You should be on the beach. You need a break. Well, you need to be able to keep your head together.

OBAMA: You’ve got to refresh yourself.

CAMERON: Do you have a break at all?

OBAMA: I have not. I am going to take a week in August. But I agree with you that somebody, somebody who had worked in the White House who _ not Clinton himself, but somebody who had been close to the process _ said that, should we be successful, that actually the most important thing you need to do is to have big chunks of time during the day when all you’re doing is thinking

Not ask Bill Clinton? Didn't you just ask him to campaign for you?
